2012 UMMTA Committee

Artistic Director

Bradley Dylan

Bradley is a born Sydney-sider. After moving down in ‘09, Bradley quickly became engrossed in the Melbourne Amateur musical theatre scene, and has since been recognised by the Victorian Guilds with a double nomination for Best Male Performer in 2010, and commendation for Best Direction UMMTA’s Curtains 2011. Also with UMMTA, Brad has directed The Wedding Singer, starred as Gordo in A New Brain, and designed the costumes for Assassins. As Artistic Director, Brad hopes to help steer UMMTA down the crazy, winding road that is his sense of humour, and hopefully end up in the Emerald City!

Company Manager

Tristan Lawrence

Tristan has been involved with UMMTA since Sweet Charity, in his first year at Melbourne Uni 5 years ago. Doing tech work for every UMMTA show since, and debuting in Assassins in 2011, he harbours a deep passion for musicaltheatre. In 2012, he decided to merge that passion with his inherent organisational ability, as he revels in making lists and flowcharts for large groups of people.

Treasurer

Josiah Lulham

Josiah is about to commence his third year at the University of Melbourne, studying arts. HE has been with UMMTA for two years, starring in A New Brain and Curtains. Josiah has recently been elected UMMTA Treasurer, and looks forward to working on the incredible productions that UMMTA shall stage 2012 – its tenth year!

Communications Officer

Keshia Contini

Keshia studies Arts at Melbourne University and is going into her third year of study and her second year of UMMTA involvement. Swapping athletics for musical theatre, Keshia began her association with UMMTA by performing in the ensemble of Curtains. An avid talker and communicator, Keshia decided to channel her inborn ability to gossip towards the greater good and promoting the eccentric and fun company that is UMMTA.

Social Activities Officer

Emma Hoy

Although relatively new to the UMMTA universe, only having performed as Nikki in 2010′s “Curtains”, Emma is extremely chuffed to be a part of the Committee in 2012. As Social Chair she’ll be putting the FUN in Fundraisers! (and also working on her comic skills). Stay posted for what is sure to be UMMTA’s biggest year yet!

General Committee

Anthony Cardamone

Anthony is currently in 3rd year of his Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne’s Conservatorium of Music studying the French Horn. This will be his second year of involvement with UMMTA after beginning as the Music Director of their 2011 semester one show Curtains, singing in Splendour 2 and performing in their semester 2 show Assassins as Zangara. With a passion for getting involved he began as a lighting technician at high school then moving to the stage for their musicals then later back to backstage and into the pit. Now being on the committee with UMMTA, it will be another amazing experience and another view of musical theatre.

General Committee

Matthew Cameron

Matthew started off with UMMTA in the Melbourne premiere of Curtains: The Musical, after doing this show Matthew decided to apply for the committee to further his skills within the company.

Committee Assistant

Sally Webber

Kicking off her UMMTA participation as an unnervingly attractive ensemble member in 2011’s ‘Curtains’, Sally is preparing for the next twelve months of musical goodness as the backbone and brain of your 2012 committee. As the resident social butterfly, feel free to come to her with any ideas on fundraisers and for general reflections on her awesomeness.

Committee Assistant

Stephanie John

Stephanie is currently hiding from the Australian Federal Police with the UMMTA family, due to a pastime of various money frauds, thefts and bank heists. [Ed. Note: Stephanie is an extremely talented, award-winning performer and fantastic collaborator who is joining UMMTA as an invaluable, if not disconcertingly modest member in 2012. Don’t let her fool you…]
