Audition bookings are now open for UMMTA’s Semester 1 show for 2011, the Melbourne premiere of Curtains!

A rollicking send-up of backstage murder mystery plots, set in 1959 Boston, Massachusetts, Curtains follows the fallout when the supremely untalented star of Robbin’ Hood of the Old West is murdered during her opening night curtain call. It is up to a police detective who moonlights as a musical theatre fan to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without getting killed himself! With book by Rupert Holmes and music and lyrics by Kander & Ebb, the show promises a rip-roaring night of larger-than-life characters, romance, mystery and intrigue!
We are looking for a myriad of performers to bring their energy and enthusiasm to a large cast. There are many characters and featured roles to be had in this show, and we would love people of all experience levels to give it a go.
Auditions will be held at the following times:
| Monday 28th February | 6pm – 9pm |
| Wednesday 2nd March | 6pm – 9pm |
| Saturday 5th March | 12pm – 5pm |
| Monday 7th March | 6pm – 9pm |
